Ralston Community Theatre’s core offering is our summer musical. Originally conceived as part of the Ralston Community 4th of July festivities, we’ve proudly served as a cornerstone of Omaha’s summer entertainment since 1979!

Rock of Ages is a high-energy, nostalgic musical that takes audiences on a wild ride through the 1980s rock-and-roll scene. Set on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, the story follows a small-town girl, Sherrie, and a city boy, Drew, as they navigate their dreams of stardom, love, and rock ‘n’ roll. With iconic hits like “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “I Wanna Know What Love Is,” and “Here I Go Again,” Rock of Ages is a heart-pounding, feel-good musical celebration of the era’s biggest rock anthems, complete with wild costumes, outrageous hair, and unforgettable tunes. Get ready to rock out to the ultimate party show of the decade!
Rock of Ages premiered on Broadway at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre on April 7, 2009, after a successful off-Broadway run in 2008. The show quickly became a hit, running for nearly six years before closing on January 18, 2015, after 2,328 performances. It was widely praised for its fun, energetic atmosphere, 1980s rock music, and unique blend of humor and romance. During its run, Rock of Ages became known for its unforgettable rock anthems and its nostalgic tribute to the ’80s, attracting both theatergoers and rock music fans. It also led to a national tour, as well as a 2012 film adaptation..

Children’s Show (To Be Announced )
In 2016, Ralston Community Theatre started a program focused on providing arts opportunities to Ralston Public Schools 3rd – 6th Graders. This program is provided at no cost to the families involved and has been met with tremendous success and enthusiasm. We look forward to the future as we continue to expand this program and advocate for arts opportunities for the children within our community.
We look forward to getting back on stage with the amazing students of Ralston Public Schools at the earliest opportunity. We thank you for your support.
